You can register with the checkout buttons above. This will allow you to place your deposit which will be your first month's tuition when classes begin. After you complete your payment you will be able to complete a registration form. Your deposit will also activate the Founding Member's 50% discount.
We are in prelaunch during the month of February. The goal is for the first classes to begin in March. Depending on the amount of students that reserve spots during the prelaunch we may have to adjust the starting date.
After you pay your deposit, you will get access to the enrollment form where you can select all times/days that work for your schedule. We will set up the first batch of classes based on the enrollment form data we receive. Once all the sessions are scheduled, if you can not make any of the scheduled class times, you will receive a full refund of your deposit. You can also choose keep your deposit as a credit for future classes as we add more options in the future. (We will begin with options on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays)
For smaller class sizes we will be starting at Fiddlestick Music. (2130 Winthrop Rd.). We have already begun plans for another space to accommodate larger class sizes. You will be notified if we move locations before the first sessions begin.
All students will need the following items down below. All together is less than $300. A complete detailed list will be available for students after registration. We will also make available a DJ pack for purchase if you prefer to have your gear ready and waiting at the first class.

No. This is a completely different type of musical experience. Since are classes are the first of their kind in Lincoln, no matter what age everyone is a beginner on day one.
In the start up phase, we are prepared for small groups to accommodate different ages groups and schedules. However, as we grow our goal is to celebrate music and life in a fun community environment. These class can start with as few as three DJ's and grow up to 100 in a class. That's when things get fun!
We guarantee you have never seen anything like what we have planned for the future :)
Due to the nature of the turntable itself we can all play & practice together in large groups using the main sound system and then each individual can use headphones for their turntable overlays. This is where the magic happens. You can't do this with any other instrument without things getting really messy.
If you are interested in the classes then we suggest you submit yourdeposit and enroll. That way you can guarantee the best possible price before the tuition begins to go up. In the end, if you can't work the class into your schedule, you can request a full refund.

During first phase of offerings we will have three age groups of scratch classes. Grades 3-5, 6-8 & 9-12. Once those classes are up and running we will be offering classes for younger students & adults as well as music production classes. Be sure to join the email list to catch all the updates.
Yes, absolutely! Our scratch classes use the same equipment so if you have more than one child in a different class they can each use the same turntable.
All scratch classes are taught by Scratch Yard founder Jeff Brackhan.

Your Founding Member's discount ($900/yr) is a Lifetime discount and is active as long as the student is enrolled. If a student takes a break and returns later, the current rates at that time will apply. The Founding Member's discount is individually linked to each enrolled student and can not be transferred between students.
Due to the large discounted Founding Member's offer during prelaunch, no additional discounts for multiple students are available at this time. In the future we may have special offers but the limited time Founding Member's pricing is the best deal we will ever offer.
